Overview

The CM4221 is a programmable-gain, high-performance instrumentation amplifier that delivers industry-leading CMRR over a wide frequency range. While the CMRR of traditional instrumentation amplifiers typically degrades at a few hundred Hertz, the CM4221 maintains a high CMRR greater than 80dB for frequencies up to 10kHz at a gain of 1. This excellent CMRR performance enables the CM4221 to reject broadband interference and harmonics, significantly simplifying filter requirements.

Its low offset voltage, low offset drift, low gain drift, high gain accuracy, and high CMRR make this device an excellent choice for applications demanding superior DC performance, such as bridge signal conditioning.

Programmable gain offers design flexibility. Gain can be set from 1 to 1000 via a single external resistor. The CM4221 operates from both single and dual power supplies and is suitable for applications with ±10V input voltages.

The CM4221 is offered in SOP8 and MSOP8 packages. Its specified operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. The device remains fully functional from 85°C to 125°C with only minor performance degradation.
