Overview
The CM7501 is a 16-bit unbuffered voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Operating from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, it guarantees monotonic output voltage over the full temperature range. The unbuffered architecture enables extremely low power consumption, with a quiescent current of just 120 μA and a low offset error of 0.5 LSB.

The CM7501 accepts a reference voltage range from 2 V to VDD. The voltage output swings from 0 V to VREF.

It features an SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE-compatible 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 50 MHz and can be directly interfaced with optocouplers for specific application requirements. A power-on reset circuit initializes the CM7501 output to zero scale. The nCLR pin also asynchronously clears the output to zero scale.

The CM7501 operates only in unipolar output mode.
