CM7506 DAC Precision, ultra-low power consumption voltage output supports XY2-100 protocol, 16 bit

Overview

CM7506 is a 16-bit unbuffered voltage-output Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) featuring a digital logic design that supports the XY2-100 protocol, specifically tailored for laser galvanometer controller applications. Operating from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, it guarantees monotonic output voltage performance across the full temperature range. The unbuffered architecture enables extremely low power consumption, with only 290 μA of quiescent current and a low zero-code offset error of 0.5 LSB.

The CM7506 supports a reference-voltage input range from 2 V to VDD. The output voltage swing spans from 0 V to VREF. A precisely matched internal resistor string allows the device, when paired with an external precision operational amplifier, to generate bipolar output voltages with a maximum ±VREF swing at RFB.

The CM7506 employs an SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE-compatible 3-wire serial interface, supporting clock frequencies up to 50 MHz. It can also be connected directly to optocouplers to meet specific application requirements. Upon power-up, the reset circuitry drives the CM7506 output to the mid-scale level
