Overview
The CM7502 is a 16-bit unbuffered voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) featuring a digital logic design that supports the XY2-100 protocol, specifically targeted for laser galvanometer controller applications. The CM7502 operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply and guarantees monotonic output across the full temperature range. Its unbuffered design enables extremely low power consumption, with only 120 μA of static current and a low zero-code offset error of 0.5 LSB.
The CM7502 supports a reference voltage input range from 2 V to VDD. The voltage output swing is from 0 V to VREF. The CM7502 integrates a precisely matched internal resistor string, which, when used with an external precision operational amplifier, can generate a bipolar output swing of up to ±VREF at the RFB pin.
The CM7502 uses an SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE-compatible three-wire serial interface, capable of operating at clock rates up to 50 MHz, and can be directly connected to optocouplers to meet specific application requirements. Upon power-up, the reset circuit drives the CM7502 output to mid-scale. The CLR pin can also drive the CM7502 output to mid-scale.
