Overview
The CM2220 is a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) powered by a single supply. It integrates a low-power, high-speed, 16-bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface. On the rising edge of CNV, the CM2220 samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN− pins, with an input voltage range from 0 V to VREF. The reference voltage VREF is provided externally and can be independent of the supply voltage VDD. Power consumption is directly proportional to the sampling rate.
Using the SDI input pin of the SPI interface, multiple ADCs can be connected in a daisy-chain configuration, with an optional busy indication available. With a separate VIO supply, the device is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, and 5 V logic levels.
The CM2220 is available in MSOP10 and DFN10 packages, and its optimal operating temperature range is −40°C to 125°C.

CM2220 is a high-speed, low-power, single power supply, precision 16 bit SAR ADC.
The maximum conversion rate of CM2220 can reach 1MSPS, and the chip is turned off between two conversions. When operating at a rate of 10kSPS, the typical power consumption is 50 μ W, making it an ideal choice for battery powered applications.
CM2220 provides users with on-chip sample and hold circuits without any pipeline delay, making it very suitable for multi-channel multiplexing applications.
CM2220 can be connected to any 1.8V to 5V digital logic interface, providing MSOP10 and DFN10 packaging, saving space and flexible configuration.
The pins of CM2220 are fully compatible with those of CM2322.
